THE MESSAGE OF XMAS
Place Vendôme, Paris, France | December 4th, 2019
CONCERT | CARTIER x ART BRIDGE - QUAD GROUP
Nothing announces when an ordinary day changes to an extraordinary day. As we wake up, having our first thought with the look of the child we were, and throwing it away in favor of the look of the adult we are. Little-by-little, letting these two looks live together and entering the Spirit of Xmas or rather, being the Spirit of Xmas.
The outstanding evening "SOUNDS OF XMAS" by CARTIER took place on December 4th, 2019 at Place Vendôme in Paris. The talented composer and multi-instrumentalist Christophe CHASSOL composed for the occasion "The Message of Xmas". For this live, he was accompanied by the brilliant Lionel SOW, Choirmaster of the Orchestre de Paris. ART BRIDGE accompanied CARTIER to imagine this rendez-vous filled with emotion and called Rodolph NASILLSKI to direct it. A moment of grace, emotion and generosity in the heart of Paris.
"Paris sparkled with Christmas spirit last night as Cartier kicked off the Holiday season with a festive concert and soirée at the iconic Place Vendôme. Guests began to gather at the brand’s boutique for an impressive set-up on the Place Vendôme completed with a keyboard installed in the middle of thin, luminous columns resting upon a golden floor. Cartier’s version of Christmas featured an exceptional concert courtesy of composer Christophe Chassol who played the Holiday music he composed exclusively for Cartier this year. The creative and poetic Christmas music added melodious magic to the scintillating surroundings. Famous people were among the guests who enjoyed the concert on the ephemeral bleachers complete with blankets and candles overlooking the Vendôme column. The private concert echoed across the entire square as Chassol and Sow’s music pulled in passers-by from the Parisian cold to a warmth that can only be transmitted by music. The Christmas music is an experimental journey based on Chassol’s signature self-sampling, brought to life by Lionel Sow’s choir on Wednesday night with delicately playful lighting effects."
